Carats: The carat weight has nothing to do with the quality of a blue diamond ring, but rather about the weight of the diamond.
Bigger isn’t always better, so the saying goes, but what about diamonds, bigger is definitely more expensive. There is a huge demand for larger diamonds (heavy) and large diamonds are extremely rare. Therefore, the price per carat back with its size. For example: suppose you have a color G SI1 clarity diamond 0.50 ct, weight 0.69 ct collection in your Blue Diamond Ring. Will be listed a certain price per carat.
If you increase the weight of the stone to 0,70 ct, ct to 0.89 Carat premium will rise that stone from about 1100.-USD per carat. At the subsequent increase in weight, which is the range 0.90 ct to 0.99 ct, you must add another 800.-USD per carat. With a stone ct 1.00 to 1.49 ct would need to add another 800. -carat stone and with a range of ct 1.50 to 1.99 ct to another 1200.
I think you get the picture, but if you have doubts, just go to my site and drop me a comment and I will try my best to clear it for you. What is a carat? Historically the carat was a bean or carob, locust bean seeds from Keraton Greek. Today, the carat is defined as 1/5 of a gram. One carat industry is often divided into points, one carat = 100 points. So if your jeweler saying that the diamond in your Blue Diamond Ring weighs 75 points, you will know that this means three quarters of a carat.
Unlike loose diamonds, which can simply weigh them on a scale, it is much more difficult to estimate the weight of a stone set. There are formulas to perform this operation, and a professional will be able to estimate the weight of the stone within a margin of error of approximately 1-2% by measuring the diameter and preferably, the depth. For diamonds of other forms, it is more difficult to estimate the weight, but specialized as diamond Leveridge gauge gauges come with a booklet of conversion tables and instructions, making it easier to judge the diamond in your diamond ring blue.

Many people have tried to explain this idea and have failed miserably. I am glad someone has stepped forth and claimed first place and been able to rectify that situation.
