All that glitters is gold, as the saying goes, but only the color of gold, we are talking about? As this discussion suggests pink gold, more than one color.
Gold can be considered a color in itself – but when it comes to a material fact, there are several versions that can be found. Pure gold is considered “yellow” color (the color of gold, as is common in the talks), but other metals are added, you can create alternate colors of gold. White gold is the most popular form of gold, created by adding materials such as platinum or yellow gold zinc with the aim of provoking a white (silver) color. Another type of gold that is not common as it is now in rose gold.
Rose gold jewelry used to be even more popular than white gold. White gold was originally developed and has gained popularity in 1920 as a substitute for platinum more expensive. Finally, white gold has become quite popular, which had followed his own, with customers choosing white gold yellow gold merit. Rose gold, however, has been specially created to keep warm shades of red and pink they have.
Golden Rose was particularly popular in the 19th century in Russia, lending the name of other gold (not as commonly used) – Gold in Russia. Rose gold is also known as pink gold or red gold. The way Rose gold is created by the addition of copper in yellow gold, gold color pink. Copper has a reddish color, of course, but not dominate the natural color of gold. Unlike other gold colors like gold, yellow, pink gold requires a relatively small amount of copper in color – as the purity of gold rose may be greater than that of yellow gold. The best quality rose gold is 22 carats.
While rose gold can be found at 22K, the quality is not usually used for jewelry. Most pink gold used for jewelry is 18k or 14k. In both cases, a small amount of silver can also be added to the alloy in order to strengthen the material to change the color of pink gold. Rose gold jewelry was especially popular in the 19th and early 20th century, rose gold rings and necklaces to be worn by women for their warmth and tone only. Rose gold was still seen in engagement rings, a practice not seen much in the market today.
Although not as popular as ever, rose gold is available for those who want to find a unique piece of jewelry. If you are looking for pieces of gold rose, real estate sales, pawn shops and antique jewelry stores often stock these types of units – and are more likely to have a wider selection.
